As representatives of the City of Austin’s – Austin Human Rights Commission, we are dedicated to promoting inclusivity, diversity and equality for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Our Community Pride Event serves as a celebration of diversity and serves as a platform for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together in a spirit of acceptance, equality and respect.
Our 2023 Community Pride Event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 PM, in downtown Austin, in the grassy area across from the Paramount Theater (125 4th Avenue NE).
Community events, such as this, require significant resources, beyond our capabilities. We are seeking volunteers from businesses, community, and organizations, that share our vision of a more inclusive society. Your generous support would allow us to cover the event and make it more welcoming.
Volunteers activities will include, but are not limited to face painting, handing out information, interacting with attendees, collaborating
with vendors, assisting with games, and aiding the Austin, MN Pride Committee Members.
