Event Help Desk Volunteer Duties (Volunteer and Industry Rep Check-In, Runners)
Time: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM and 10:15 AM – 12:15 PM
Location: Riverland Community College – Enter through Door 7 (main door) and park in the main entrance parking lot.
Note: A volunteer t-shirt will be provided to help you stand out and be easily recognized.
Arrive early and get ready

Wear your volunteer t-shirt so participants and staff can easily identify you.

Set up check-in materials (sign-in sheets, maps, information packets).

Carry the event coordinator’s phone number in case questions or emergencies arise.
Check in volunteers

Greet each volunteer warmly and verify their name on the list.

Provide a map and an information packet.

Mention that lunch is from 11 AM – 1 PM in the Hospitality Rooms (location noted on the map).
Check in cluster/industry representatives as needed

Only Cluster Leads need to check in during set-up; other cluster/industry representatives do not need to check in.

Offer directions to assigned clusters as necessary.
Provide general event guidance

Be ready to answer basic questions about the event schedule, locations, and hospitality rooms.

Keep a friendly and welcoming presence as this is often the first stop for participants.
Serve as a runner if needed

Be prepared to deliver items, messages, or information to other event areas if requested.

Stay flexible—this role may shift briefly to wherever help is needed most.
