This volunteer opportunity is to pack food boxes for the Backpack Program in Mower County. The Backpack Program provides nutritious, non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food to children to ensure they get enough food on weekends and holidays to avoid hunger when they can't depend on school meals. However, during Covid-19, families are instead receiving a food box that helps that during this time.
As a volunteer you will:
- Need to be there at 1:00 pm
- Meet at Hastings Gymnasium ( Enter Door #6 of AHS)
- Wear gloves ( gloves will be provided)
- Practice Social Distancing
- Wear a mask * Please bring your own mask**
