Volunteer: Austin High School Link CrewPurpose of Link Crew Link Crew is a program designed to empower Juniors and Seniors as role models for new students and Freshmen. Link Crew is an important part of helping Freshmen transition to the high school and provides an opportunity for upperclassmen to develop their leadership skills. Through Link Crew, most students earn 17 hours of community service, but through special opportunities, some students earn more. Applicants must: fill out an application every year they wish to participate. be current sophomores or juniors (will be juniors or seniors the following school year) be responsible, reliable, enthusiastic, compassionate, caring, able to lead a group of peers, positive role models, and willing to move out of his/her comfort zone be on track to graduate and have no current attendance or behavior issues. Leaders are role models and it is important that they model this behavior in their own school life.Mandatory Activities May Development Day Link Leader Training: Mon. Aug. 24 and Tues. Aug. 25 from 7:45am – 2:00pm Freshmen Orientation: Thurs.
