Who We Are
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
What We Do
The Salvation Army of Mower County is in collaboration with the Hometown Food Security Project to insure food security in Mower County. To assist in this project The Salvation Army operates a food shelf, community meal, and a mobile pantry (run by volunteers). The Salvation Army also assists those qualified and as grants are available with fuel (gas) cards for out of county medical appointments, prescriptions assistance, shelter and utilities.
