Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys

Who We Are

Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.

In partnership with 12,500 adult members, 9,000 of whom are active volunteers, Girl Scouts River Valleys serves 30,000 girls through a 49-county region that spans Minnesota (44), Wisconsin (4), and Iowa (1). Of these girls, 1 in 5 receive the financial support they need to fully participate in Girl Scouts. River Valleys is dedicated to ensuring that every girl can take advantage of our one-of-a-kind, all-girl programming.

What We Do

As Girl Scouts, girls in grades K-12 develop these outcomes in a supportive, all-girl environment within a network of friends, where they can feel confident while learning and exploring. Girl Scouts River Valleys offers a flexible participation model that accommodates girls’ differing interests and needs. This model includes volunteer-led Girl Scout troops; experiential learning events; subject-focused series like STEM, camp, swim team, and travel; and special initiatives designed to reach girls in historically underserved communities.
