Who We Are

We are a small non-profit organization funded by the United Way of Mower County, the Hormel Foundation, charitable gaming, and donations.

What We Do

MISSION:

We empower children and adults with physical disabilities, and their families, by providing information, referrals, and services that help improve productivity and quality of life.

ADVOCACY

We are advocates for our physically disabled community members. We help with many areas of their lives such as

  1. Social Security Disability applications and appeals.
  2. Applying for federal, county and state financial assistance and programs.
  3. Housing referrals and other assistance.
  4. Other referrals and assistance.

Some of our clients have no income, no health coverage, no family, and are homeless. Many are also dealing with mental health issues or have a learning disability. Life can become overwhelming. Often people have no one to turn to and come to us for help. We are also able to assist individuals with other concerns or issues they may have.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LENDING

We also, have a Medical Equipment Lending Program. We lend (free of charge) medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, toilet risers, knee walkers, crutches, canes and more, to individuals who need them temporarily.
