Support fellow students by helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and accessible campus food pantry. Volunteers play an important role in ensuring students have access to food and essential items in a respectful and dignified environment.
Volunteer duties may include:
- Stocking shelves with food, hygiene products, and household essentials
- Organizing items by category and rotating inventory
- Arranging shelves to create a grocery store-style shopping experience
- Sorting and processing donations
- Checking products for damage or expiration dates
- Assisting with inventory counts
- Breaking down boxes and keeping pantry areas clean
- Preparing pantry items for distribution
- Assisting staff with pantry projects and special events as needed
No prior experience is necessary. Volunteers should be reliable, respectful, and comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting light-to-moderate items.
This opportunity is ideal for students seeking volunteer hours, community engagement experiences, or opportunities to help address food insecurity on campus.
Volunteer opportunities are offered on an ongoing basis and are dependent on pantry needs and supervisor availability. Not every weekday shift may be available. Volunteers will be contacted if a scheduled shift needs to be rescheduled or canceled.
