Austin Aspires will be hosting Block Parties at Shirley Theel Park on select Thursdays throughout the summer. The hope is to support parents/caregivers in their role, encourage a safe summer, and to bring summer fun out to that area of Austin. Each Thursday will have a different activity.
Volunteers will be responsible for helping Aspires staff set up and take down the event. Volunteers will be participating in CHALK PLAY assisting children in creating fun chalk art with regular chalk, water and paint brushes, puff chalk, spray chalk and stencils. Ages of children may have a wide range and their safety is top priority, along with having fun!!
