Austin Aspires will be hosting Block Parties at Shirley Theel Park on select Thursdays throughout the summer. The hope is to support parents/caregivers in their role, encourage a safe summer, and to bring summer fun out to that area of Austin. Each Thursday will have a different activity.
Volunteers will be responsible for helping Aspires staff set up and take down the event. Volunteers will be supporting youth as they paint rocks. It is important to encourage positive messages, share your creativity, and encourage all kiddos to participate in rock painting. Adults will be participating in a Gratitude is the Attitude chat!
Dinner is included for volunteers at the event.
