United Way's Backpack Program provides children a bag filled with food to take home on the weekends. The food is designed to provide children who may be going without food over the weekend to have kid friendly, easy to prepare meals and snacks. Bags are discreetly given to children at the end of the week to take home.
Task: As a volunteer, you will be help fill bags of food that will be distributed to local Mower County schools.
NEW LOCATION UPDATE: Packing will now be at the (CAB) Community Action Building / Parenting Resource Center. Enter from the glass double doors by the parking lot. 105 1st St SE a, Austin, MN 55912. The building is across from the Post Office.
