Cultural Ambassadors play an essential role in making Taste of Nations Austin, Minnesota the area's best celebration of our collective cultural heritage. As an ambassador you have the opportunity to highlight unique aspects of your culture through an exhibit or display of your creation.
Cultural Exhibit should include:
Manpower to host your table (1-2 persons) *very important! *
Provide a Tablecloth (cultural, if possible)
Wear clothing of your culture/country
Provide a map of your country
Ideas for your table:
-Flag of your country
-Written sample of your language (one side English/one side your language)
Example: I need a doctor! Where is my motel? My name is? Water please.
-Spoken example of your language
-Typical recipe from your country
-Share 2 brief stories about your culture (different from Austin, MN culture)
How many miles/kilometers is it to your country from Austin, MN?
Examples of items from your country (pictures or actual items)

*You CANNOT provide food made at home* Wrapped single serve snacks are allowed* One Parking Spot reserved at the bottom of Skinner’s Hill. Please check in with the volunteer coordinator at the Welcome Center tent upon arrival.
