As a part of Day of Caring, team up with Park and Rec to prepare the Community Gardens for the upcoming season. This entails a hands-on approach to tidying up the garden plots near Woodson. Volunteers can look forward to a fulfilling experience, getting their hands dirty while actively contributing to the betterment of our community.
Why: Gardening not only provides you with fresh fruits and vegetables, it also encourages you to eat them. Join Park and Rec to help prepare the plots for winter!
Tasks:
- Lawn care
- Weeding
- Winterizing
- Drain and store garden hoses
- Protect delicate plants from frost
- Insulate outdoor faucets
Note: We encourage volunteers to bring along their work gloves, sturdy footwear, and dress for the weather!
