Join the Mower County Senior Center in making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in our community in Austin and Greater Mower County. This initiative ensures seniors in Mower County receive vital safety check-ins and invaluable companionship through consistent and punctual phone calls.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Make calls between 8:00 am and 9:00
- Calls are up to 1 hour
- Commit to volunteering on Thursday mornings, with no calls required on weekends, holidays, or when the Senior Center is closed
- Receive a list of seniors to call during your designated time slot, along with any necessary information
- Report updates to our Senior Advocate after completing your calls, ensuring effective communication and support
This is a virtual volunteer opportunity, allowing you to make a difference from the comfort of your own home. However, you will be expected to provide Desahna with information following the calls.
